Locking Washers
Tab washers are single-use mechanical locking devices featuring protruding tabs that are bent against the flats of a nut or bolt head to physically arrest rotation. Forged from carbon steel, stainless steel, or specialty alloys, they provide absolute interlocking security independent of friction. They are deployed in extreme environments such as aerospace airframes, power generation turbines, and heavy machinery where high vibration and thermal cycling preclude standard frictional locking.
