Rivet Nuts

Rivet nuts, or threaded inserts, provide permanent, load-bearing internal threads in thin or hollow substrates that cannot sustain conventional tapping. Installation involves swaging the collapsible body against the blind side of the workpiece, creating a secure mechanical anchor with high pull-out resistance. Many variants feature knurled or hexagonal exterior profiles to maximize anti-rotation and torque-out resistance. They are heavily utilized in aerospace interiors, automotive chassis component mounting, and sheet metal enclosures requiring repeated disassembly.
