Thread-Locker Adhesives

Thread-locker adhesives are single-component anaerobic sealants that cure into a durable thermoset plastic when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air. By completely filling microscopic gaps between mating threads, these adhesives create a unitized assembly that prevents fastener loosening from extreme shock and vibration while providing an environmental seal against corrosion. Available in varying shear strengths indicated by color-coding, they are utilized heavily in automotive framing, heavy machinery assembly, and precision mechanical equipment requiring consistent clamp loads without mechanical locking hardware.
